Rudra means the consecration of the ghostly spirit Shiva. Shiva and Rudra are synonymous with each other. Shiva is called 'Rudra', because rutam-duhkham, dravayati-nashayatitirudra: that is, the innocent destroy all sorrows.
According to our scriptures, the sins committed by us are the cause of our sorrows. Due to Rudrachan and Rudrabhishek, the Patak Karma and Mahapatak are also burnt to ashes from our horoscope and Shivatva emerges in the seeker and the devotee receives the blessings of Lord Shiva and all his wishes are fulfilled. It is said that by worshiping only one Sadashiv Rudra, all the deities are automatically worshipped.
In Rudrahridayopanishad it is said about Shiva that Sarvadevatko Rudra: Sarve Deva: Shivatka means Rudra is present in the soul of all the gods and all the gods are the soul of Rudra. For the fulfillment of various wishes in our scriptures, many materials and worship materials have been told for the worship of Rudrabhishek. Sadhaks do Rudrabhishek Puja in different ways and with different motives. For the fulfillment of a particular desire, Rudrabhishek is done with the worship material and method accordingly. But on special occasions or on the days of Monday, Pradosh and Shivratri etc., Abhishek is done by mixing mantra, milk or other milk or even with only milk. Abhishek is also performed with Panchamrit with milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar separately or by mixing them all in special worship. In tantras, there is a law to anoint with various other things for the prevention of diseases. In this way, if the Shivling is properly anointed with various substances, the desired wish is fulfilled.
There is no doubt that the consecration of any old regularly worshiped Shivling gives very good results, but if the Shivalinga of Parad is anointed, then miraculous auspicious results are obtained very soon. The fruit of Rudrabhishek is obtained very quickly. Scholars have praised it in the Vedas. In the Puranas, the details of many stories related to this are found. It is said about Rudrabhishek in the Vedas and Puranas that Ravana had anointed the Shivling with his blood by cutting off his ten heads and offered the ends to the fire of Havan, due to which he became Trilokjayi.
When Bhasmasura anointed the Shivling with the tears of his eyes, he too became an object of God's boon. Rudrabhishek is fruitful for your desired accomplishment to remove the obstacles of Kaal Sarp Yoga, house affliction, loss in business, interruption in education. Rudrabhishek can be done in Jyotirlinga area and place of pilgrimage and in festivals like Shivaratri Pradosh, Monday of Shravan etc. In fact, consecration of Shivling, Ashutosh pleases Shiva quickly and makes the seeker beneficiary of him and all his problems automatically end. Therefore, we can say that Rudrabhishek washes away all the sins and heat of a human being.
The creator Brahma himself has also said that when we do the abhishek, then Mahadev himself receives that abhishek. There is no such thing, splendor, happiness in the world, which we cannot get by doing Rudrabhishek or getting it done.
